Theories, to have value, must be testable.
Commentary: A theory that cannot be tested is worthless. A theory that does not predict or extrapolate (and therefore put itself at risk of being wrong) is worthless.Theories can not be proven, they can only be disproven.A "natural law" is a short hand way of saying that after extensive tests by many individuals over long periods of time, we have not yet found a counter example to the theory.
